Announcement of reorganization of OUDPA Dear colleagues and friends, In order to provide better mission focus and more efficient administration, the University has approved the reorganization of the Office of University Development and Public Affairs (OUDPA) into two offices: The Public Affairs Office (PAO) and the Development and Alumni Office (DAO). This takes effect on July 1, 2011. The two new offices are under the Vice-President for Institutional Advancement (VPIA) branch, and they will be headed respectively by Ms Emily Hui and Ms Daisy Chan, who will assume the titles of Director of Public Affairs and Director of Development and Alumni. The DAO will focus on cultivating the support of community leaders, raising funds to support University initiatives, and strengthening ties with the growing family of alumni, now numbering over 40,000. The PAO will be responsible for branding and marketing of the University, communication with University stakeholders and the public, media relations, University publications, and Mainland and global initiatives. We believe that the new organization will best serve the University in continuing its pursuit for excellence and propelling the University to face the challenges ahead to reach a new frontier. Best regards, Dr Eden Woon |
